A Sad Love Story...

One night a guy and girl were driving home from the movies. The boy sensed there was something wrong because of the painful silence they shared between them that night. The girl then asked the boy to pull over because she wanted to talk. She told him that her feelings had changed and that it was time to move on.
A silent tear slid down his cheek as he slowly reached into his pocket and passed her a folded note. At that moment, a drunk driver was speeding down that very same street. He swerved right into the drivers seat, killing the boy.
Miraculously, the girl survived. Remembering the note, she pulled it out and read it.
" Without your love, I would die."

Love is a beautiful bond, yet there are many who are pained in love. Unrequited emotions, being away from your partner or love lost causes the heart to ache. If you know of one, you can share motivational love poems with them. These thoughtful notes give one a new perspective of love and life. You feel being heard by an “invisible friend”. We have listed down one for you..... Can there be love and distance too Wish if lovers could only knew Fate at times stitches that space Love’s forlorn then, yet is that divine grace To the loving souls I say, keep loving well Love shall surpass time, for who can tell For pain is just a momentary silent visitor Live the pain, and be love’s Savior Look across the fields of yesterday now, and see…… For if you have loved one and felt unheard Never mind, as somewhere your voice was heard As you see the golden sun making its way You would know Love too isn’t far away! When its love, words express the best and when its words, Love Poems convey all that you feel........

I MISS YOU LOT...LOT...LOT...

I made this. It is sad. Get the Kleenexes, or puffs, or tissues, or whatever! (This happens in a universe parallel from all my other stories, but Dorski still exists!

Doris sat down, waiting for her true love to come back from his mission. She waited, and she saw three penguins walking down the sidewalk, all sobbing their friggin eyes out. They were also carrying a box. Then Skipper looked up at Doris's tank. "H-he's dead." He choked out. Her eyes got wide. "Rico?"

She asked. Skipper shook his head. They all set down the box. Rico walked up and cried some more.

Then basically her worst nightmare happened. Private walked up wailing too.

A tear escaped her eyes. Then many. They picked up the box and went to the HQ.

A few months later, Doris was sad and started to sing. "Sha la la la la, sha la la la la" she started to cry a little bit. "You used to call me your angel" She said swimming in a circular motion.

"Said I was sent straight down from heaven
And you'd hold me close in your arms
I thought of the way you felt so strong"

She sung hugging herself. " I never wanted you to leave
I wanted you to stay here holdin' me

I miss you, I miss your smile
And I still shed a tear every once in a while
And even though it's different now
You're still here somehow"

She was really crying now. "My heart won't let you go
And I need you to know
I miss you, sha la la la la
I miss you

You used to call me your dreamer
And now I'm livin' out my dream
Oh, how I wish you could see
Everything that's happenin' for me"

She was really sad now. "My heart won't let you go
And I need you to know
I miss you, sha la la la la
I miss you

I know you're in a better place yeah
But I wish that I could see your face, oh
I know you're where you need to be
Even though it's not here with me

I miss you, I miss your smile
And I still shed a tear every once in a while
And even though it's different now
You're still here somehow

My heart won't let you go
And I need you to know
I miss you, sha la la la la

I miss you, I miss your smile
And I still shed a tear every once in a while
And even though it's different now
You're still here somehow

My heart won't let you go
And I need you to know
I miss you, sha la la la la
I miss you"

She looked up and it started to rain. "Please don't cry." She whispered.

OH MY GOD THAT WAS SAD TO ME! Anyways, don't worry, I just thought of that. He's not dead in my other stories!

FIRST KISS .............

The decision to kiss for the first time is the most crucial in any love story. It changes the relationship of two people much more strongly than even the final surrender; because this kiss already has within it that surrender.......

The truth is that there is only one terminal dignity-love.
And the story of a love is not important-what is important is
that one is capable of love. It is perhaps the only glimpse we are

Equanimity: The Radical Permission to Feel

Equanimity is a fundamental skill for self-exploration and emotional intelligence. It is a deep and subtle concept frequently misunderstood and easily confused with suppression of feeling, apathy or inexpressiveness.
Equanimity comes from the Latin word aequus meaning balanced, and animus meaning spirit or internal state. As an initial step in understanding this concept, let's consider for a moment its opposite: what happens when a person loses internal balance.

In the physical world we say a person has lost balance if they fall to one side or another. In the same way a person loses internal balance if they fall into one or the other of the following contrasting reactions:
Suppression –A state of though/feeling arises and we attempt to cope with it by stuffing it down, denying it, tightening around it, etc.
Identification –A state of thought/feeling arises and we fixate it, hold onto it inappropriately, not letting it arise, spread and pass with its natural rhythm.

Between suppression on one side and identification on the other lies a third possibility, the balanced state of non-self-interference…equanimity. […]

Equanimity belies the adage that you cannot “have your cake and eat it too.”When you apply equanimity to unpleasant sensations, they flow more readily and as a result cause less suffering. When you apply equanimity to pleasant sensations, they also flow more readily and as a result deliver deeper fulfillment. The same skill positively affects both sides of the sensation picture. Hence the following equation:

Psycho-spiritual Purification = (Pain x Equanimity) + (Pleasure x Equanimity)

Furthermore, when feelings are experienced with equanimity, they assure their proper function as motivators and directors of behavior as opposed to driving and distorting behavior. Thus equanimity plays a critical role in changing negative behaviors such as substance and alcohol abuse, compulsive eating, anger, violence, and so forth.

Equanimity involves non-interference with the natural flow of subjective sensation. Apathy implies indifference to the controllable outcome of objective events. Thus, although seemingly similar, equanimity and apathy are actually opposites. Equanimity frees up internal energy for responding to external situations. By definition, equanimity involves radical permission to feel and as such is the opposite of suppression. As far as external expression of feeling is concerned, internal equanimity gives one the freedom to externally express or not, depending on what is appropriate to the situation.

--Shinzen Young, from "What is Equanimity"

DILSHAD SAIFI......

A REAL ART TO LIVING......

There is a real art to living, one that could be described through many words. If I had to choose just one, however, it would be equanimity. While equanimity has often in my mind resembled a modest, slender, bespectacled older man with suspenders and an unexpressive face, it is actually much deeper than that.
Equanimity, to me, is about consciously cultivating an attitude of gratitude and compassion toward the unique set of circumstances that comprise the unfolding of one's life. Being able to find the gift in whatever kind of present is given, moment by moment, each and every day. To be able to approach every person, moment and experience as a teacher, whether this teacher may come in the form of a political enemy, a serious illness or simply someone cutting you off in traffic. We don't get to decide everything that happens to us. But we do have full control and authorship over how we react, or perhaps better yet, respond, to the unfolding of our lives.
It has been said that one man's garbage is another man's treasure. I could not agree more. Going on a 10-day Vipassana meditation course almost 2 years ago taught me a great deal about the power of attitude through my own personal experience. Sitting silently for 10+ hours each day enables a lot of often previously unexamined aches and pains to arise in the body. During Vipassana, I not only became more aware of all the places in my body that I hold on to tightness in, however. I saw firsthand how my negative emotions: frustration, fear, desire, sadness and more were linked to the physical sensations that arose on my body.
And then there were the incessant reactions: "My God, when is this going to be over?!" "Why did I sign up for this torture?!" Sometimes my reactions weren't even actual words, but sounds. Loud screaming inside my mind. Sobbing. I could easily see a small child inside, kicking and screaming in a tantrum, belly face down on the ground, wailing as though there were no tomorrow. A tremendous amount of effort went into these inner uprisings.
Until, finally, the dawn of grace through wisdom. Yes, there is pain. The presence of suffering is, in fact, the first of the four noble truths in Buddhism. Suffering is there. It is a reality - but not a prison, as I had previously thought and felt. My reactions were what really held me captive, as a prisoner of my own mind. No one told me to scream and cry inside - I decided to do that. The realization that I had the power to change the way I reacted to the physical pain I experienced while sitting was a revelation that I carried off the meditation cushion and into my life. Having the awareness of my subconscious reactions to the sensations on my body has led to a sublime sense of inner power and the ability to choose my response to whatever situation arises within and outside of myself. The amount of pain we experience is directly dependent upon the degree to which we react to the suffering that life naturally presents.
I completely agree with Shinzen Young in these sentiments regarding the application of equanimity:
"When you apply equanimity to unpleasant sensations, they flow more readily and as a result cause less suffering. When you apply equanimity to pleasant sensations, they also flow more readily and as a result deliver deeper fulfillment."
I think the word "flow" in these sentences is so key. Equanimity comes from the Latin word "aequus," meaning balanced. "Aequus," however, sounds very similar to "aqua" to me, meaning water. Being balanced, then, to me implies a kind of willingness to follow the flow of life down whatever stream it may go. Being equanimous is like becoming similar to water: able to adapt, adjust and accommodate wherever and whenever needed, to whatever circumstances arise.
Equanimity is a shift in mindset that enables us to perceive how joy and sorrow are but flip sides of the same coin. In Vipassana, Goenkaji shared how, "It is easy enough to remain equanimous when life flows along like a sweet song, but the one who's worthwhile, is the one with a smile, when everything goes dead wrong." Like that, I believe, have seen and experienced for myself how the greatest obstacles in life can really be the greatest opportunities in disguise.
The presence of disease, for example, teaches us that something in our body is out of balance. This realization can spark great changes in one's overall diet and lifestyle. The oily, spicy, heavy food I ate in India often left me with severe stomachaches and once with food poisoning so intense that I could not walk or even sit up straight for days. This experience, however, served as an amazing catalyst for my interest in cooking and being able to create healthier diet options for myself and those in my life.
Experiences of insult and injury have taught me about the tremendous violence that exists so deeply in so many around the world. How those who hurt others hurt themselves the most. Suffering from the hatred and anger of others at times has taught me how to go deeper and deeper within myself to cultivate true compassion, for myself and for others. These experiences have further taught me that there are no "others," which puts me in touch with my Self - in the capital "S" sense, which encompasses all.
To be truly equanimous, I believe, requires tremendous courage, practice, discipline and willpower, as it involves taking everything that comes your way with an open heart. People often think of people who "wear their heart on their sleeve" as being weak-willed and "too soft," or as having "bleeding hearts." I think truly living with an open heart is the ultimate badge of bravery. That it takes a lot of strength to make yourself vulnerable, to be open to being moved by the joys and sorrows of another as if they were your own. There is a beautiful Yoga sutra, number 23 of book 3 of Master Patanjali's, which nicely elucidates this sentiment:
"maitriyadisu balani"
Which means:
"Strength arises out of compassion."
When compassion is true and deeply felt, I believe there is no greater force in this world.
Along with being a way of seeing, an attitude of gratitude and a heart filled with compassion and strength, equanimity to me is also the essence of wisdom. Being able to recognize the cyclical nature of all life: that what goes up, comes also back down, only to go back up again. We are born, live and then die, only to be born again anew. This cycle of birth, death and rebirth is not simply limited to our life spans, but to the process of change and transformation itself. Growth is rarely linear, but rather takes a spiral shape. All the very cells of the body are constantly dying only to be born again, just as do the stars, insects and even trees.
Equanimity, then, implies an acceptance of change as the only constant, providing us the opportunity and invitation to be stoic toward the negative experiences of life and to make the most of what is positive. The essence of remaining equanimous, however, is not merely to seek or crave after positive experiences, but rather to transcend the duality of positive and negative altogether. To go from untruth to truth. From darkness to light. Mortality to immortality. In this transcendental state of Yoga, we can more clearly see the unity in diversity, the all contained in the One, the One contained within all. It is in this space that we can come to know our true Self, as Satchidananda. Truth (sat). Knowledge (chid). And bliss (ananda). This unlimited Self goes beyond our small sense of I, me and mine to embrace the totality of existence. And it is this Self that contains everything we truly seek: it's all there, deep inside the essence of Equanimity.
I'll close by sharing a couple poems inspired by this passage and its reflections:
Prisoner of My Mind
Help me! Please
I am trapped.
Imprisoned.
Enslaved.
Inside the iron walls
of hatred
anger
fear
jealousy
and ignorance.
For ignore I have
the goodness that
is there,
seeking to free me.
Once I was lost
and now I have found
that peace prevails
where inner enemies cease.
Freedom is the
gentle fierceness
of a fearless
state of mind.
When the ego dies,
the soul awakens.
In silence and stillness,
the serenity of the soul
survives - and thrives.
Freedom Is...
Freedom is:
the sweet song of a mockingbird
speaking truth to power
with the lightness and grace of a flower
flowing with love, hour after hour
Freedom is:
a state of mind
that is kind
and one in which I find
no room or reason for a bind.
Freedom is:
the dawn of each new day
waking up with a spirit of play
as if to say
Hey!
Life is what you make of it.
The Lotus Blooms
The lotus flower
blooms in adversity
atrocity
animosity
For there is no greater power
than that which comes from a shower
of struggle
strife
and sorrow
The lotus never forgets
the possibility of tomorrow
Rather than mope,
the lotus is the essence
of Hope................

IF I HAD MY LIFE TO LIVE OVER - by Dilshad Saifi...

I would have gone to bed when I was sick instead of pretending the earth would go into a holding pattern if I weren't there for the day.
I would have burned the pink candle sculpted like a rose before it melted in storage.
I would have talked less and listened more.
I would have invited friends over to dinner even if the carpet was stained or the sofa faded.
I would have eaten the popcorn in the 'good' living room and worried much less about the dirt when someone wanted to light a fire in the fireplace.
I would have taken the time to listen to my grandfather ramble about his youth.
I would never have insisted the car windows be rolled up on a summer day because my hair had just been teased and sprayed.
I would have sat on the lawn with my children and not worried about grass stains.
I would have cried and laughed less while watching television and more while watching life.
I would never have bought anything just because it was practical, wouldn't show soil, or was guaranteed to last a lifetime.
Instead of wishing away nine months of pregnancy, I'd have cherished every moment and realized that the wonderment growing inside me was the only chance in life to assist God in a miracle.
When my kids kissed me impetuously, I would never have said, "Later. Now go get washed up for dinner."
There would have been more "I love you's." More "I'm sorry's."
But mostly, given another shot at life, I would seize every minute, look at it and really see it ,

live it and never give it back......................

BUTTERFLY

A man found a cocoon of a butterfly. One day a small opening appeared. He sat and watched the butterfly for several hours as it struggled to force its body through that little hole. Then it seemed to stop making any progress. It appeared as if it had gotten as far as it could, and it could go no further.
So the man decided to help the butterfly. He took a pair of scissors and snipped off the remaining bit of the cocoon.
The butterfly then emerged easily. But it had a swollen body and small, shriveled wings.
The man continued to watch the butterfly because he expected that, at any moment, the wings would enlarge and expand to be able to support the body, which would contract in time.
Neither happened! In fact, the butterfly spent the rest of its life crawling around with a swollen body and shriveled wings. It never was able to fly.
What the man, in his kindness and haste, did not understand was that the restricting cocoon and the struggle required for the butterfly to get through the tiny opening were God's way of forcing fluid from the body of the butterfly into its wings so that it would be ready for flight once it achieved its freedom from the cocoon.
Sometimes struggles are exactly what we need in our lives. If God allowed us to go through our lives without any obstacles, it would cripple us.
We would not be as strong as what we could have been. We could never fly!
I asked for Strength.........And God gave me Difficulties to make me strong.
I asked for Wisdom.........And God gave me Problems to solve.
I asked for Prosperity.........And God gave me Brain and Brawn to work.
I asked for Courage.........And God gave me Danger to overcome.
I asked for Love.........And God gave me Troubled people to help.
I asked for Favors.........And God gave me Opportunities.
I received nothing I wanted ........I received everything I needed!
Trust in God. Always !IIIiii

FRIENDSHIP AND LOVE

Love starts with a smile, grows with a kiss, and ends with a tear.
Don't cry over anyone who won't cry over you.
Good friends are hard to find, harder to leave, and impossible to forget.
You can only go as far as you push.
Actions speak louder than words.
The hardest thing to do is watch the one you love, love somebody else.
Don't let the past hold you back; you're missing the good stuff.
Life's short. If you don't look around once in a while, you might miss it.
A best friend is like a four leaf clover: hard to find and lucky to have.
If you think that the world means nothing, think again. You might mean the world to someone else.
When it hurts to look back, and you're scared to look ahead, you can look beside you and your best friend will be there
True friendship never ends.
Friends are forever.
Good friends are like stars....You don't always see them, but you know they are always there.
Don't frown. You never know who is falling in love with your smile.
What do you do when the only person who can make you stop crying is the person who made you cry?
NOBODY IS PERFECT UNTIL YOU FALL IN LOVE WITH THEM. (Isn't that the truth?)
Everything is okay in the end. If it's not okay, then it's not the end.
Most people walk in and out of you life. But only True friends leave footprints in your heart.
Send this on to everyone special in your life, even the people who really make you mad sometimes. Whether we realize it or not, everyone we know is very special to us.
When we look back on our younger years, we will remember the people who went to school with us, the people who made us laugh, the people who hung out with us when nobody else would, and the people who made our lives much better simply by being a part of it.
There may be somebody who is thinking about you RIGHT NOW and wishing that you were around. That's the wonderful thing about friendship-you always feel loved and cared about.
The most important thing to remember is... Always appreciate the friends that you have.
A fight may come and go very easily, but a friendship could last forever.
For every second spent in anger, a minute of happiness is wasted. So send this to your friends and let them know that you care...........................................................................................................

Touching life story.....

A young man was getting ready to graduate college. For many months he had admired a beautiful sports car in a dealer's showroom, and knowing his father could well afford it, he told him that was all he wanted. As Graduation Day approached, the young man awaited signs that his father had purchased the car. Finally, on the morning of his graduation his father called him into his private study. His father told him how proud he was to have such a fine son, and told him how much he loved him. He handed his son a beautiful wrapped gift box. Curious, but somewhat disappointed the young man opened the box and found a lovely, leather-bound Bible. Angrily, he raised his voice at his father and said, "With all your money you give me a Bible?" and stormed out of the house, leaving the holy book. Many years passed and the young man was very successful in business. He had a beautiful home and wonderful family, but realized his father was very old, and thought perhaps he should go to him. He had not seen him since that graduation day. Before he could make arrangements, he received a telegram telling him his father had passed away, and willed all of his possessions to his son. He needed to come home immediately and take care things. When he arrived at his father's house, sudden sadness and regret filled his heart. He began to search his father's important papers and saw the still new Bible, just as he had left it years ago. With tears, he opened the Bible and began to turn the pages. As he read those words, a car key dropped from an envelope taped behind the Bible. It had a tag with the dealer's name, the same dealer who had the sports car he had desired. On the tag was the date of his graduation, and the words...PAID IN FULL. How many times do we miss God's blessings because they are not packaged as we expected?

GENEROSITY

Mahatma Gandhi went from city to city, village to village collecting funds for the Charkha Sangh. During one of his tours he addressed a meeting in Orissa. After his speech a poor old woman got up. She was bent with age, her hair was grey and her clothes were in tatters. The volunteers tried to stop her, but she fought her way to the place where Gandhiji was sitting. "I must see him," she insisted and going up to Gandhiji touched his feet. Then from the folds of her sari she brought out a copper coin and placed it at his feet. Gandhiji picked up the copper coin and put it away carefully. The Charkha Sangh funds were under the charge of Jamnalal Bajaj. He asked Gandhiji for the coin but Gandhiji refused. "I keep cheques worth thousands of rupees for the Charkha Sangh," Jamnalal Bajaj said laughingly "yet you won't trust me with a copper coin." "This copper coin is worth much more than those thousands," Gandhiji said. "If a man has several lakhs and he gives away a thousand or two, it doesn't mean much. But this coin was perhaps all that the poor woman possessed. She gave me all she had. That was very generous of her. What a great sacrifice she made. That is why I value this copper coin more than a crore of rupees." ..............

DETERMINATON

In 1883, a creative engineer named John Roebling was inspired by an idea to build a spectacular bridge connecting New York with the Long Island. However bridge building experts throughout the world thought that this was an impossible feat and told Roebling to forget the idea. It just could not be done. It was not practical. It had never been done before.
Roebling could not ignore the vision he had in his mind of this bridge. He thought about it all the time and he knew deep in his heart that it could be done. He just had to share the dream with someone else. After much discussion and persuasion he managed to convince his son Washington, an up and coming engineer, that the bridge in fact could be built.
Working together for the first time, the father and son developed concepts of how it could be accomplished and how the obstacles could be overcome. With great excitement and inspiration, and the headiness of a wild challenge before them, they hired their crew and began to build their dream bridge.
The project started well, but when it was only a few months underway a tragic accident on the site took the life of John Roebling. Washington was injured and left with a certain amount of brain damage, which resulted in him not being able to walk or talk or even move.
"We told them so.""Crazy men and their crazy dreams.""It`s foolish to chase wild visions."
Everyone had a negative comment to make and felt that the project should be scrapped since the Roeblings were the only ones who knew how the bridge could be built. In spite of his handicap Washington was never discouraged and still had a burning desire to complete the bridge and his mind was still as sharp as ever.
He tried to inspire and pass on his enthusiasm to some of his friends, but they were too daunted by the task. As he lay on his bed in his hospital room, with the sunlight streaming through the windows, a gentle breeze blew the flimsy white curtains apart and he was able to see the sky and the tops of the trees outside for just a moment.
It seemed that there was a message for him not to give up. Suddenly an idea hit him. All he could do was move one finger and he decided to make the best use of it. By moving this, he slowly developed a code of communication with his wife.
He touched his wife's arm with that finger, indicating to her that he wanted her to call the engineers again. Then he used the same method of tapping her arm to tell the engineers what to do. It seemed foolish but the project was under way again.
For 13 years Washington tapped out his instructions with his finger on his wife's arm, until the bridge was finally completed. Today the spectacular Brooklyn Bridge stands in all its glory as a tribute to the triumph of one man's indomitable spirit and his determination not to be defeated by circumstances. It is also a tribute to the engineers and their team work, and to their faith in a man who was considered mad by half the world. It stands too as a tangible monument to the love and devotion of his wife who for 13 long years patiently decoded the messages of her husband and told the engineers what to do.
Perhaps this is one of the best examples of a never-say-die attitude that overcomes a terrible physical handicap and achieves an impossible goal.
Often when we face obstacles in our day-to-day life, our hurdles seem very small in comparison to what many others have to face. The Brooklyn Bridge shows us that dreams that seem impossible can be realised with determination and persistence, no matter what the odds are.
Even the most distant dream can be realized with determination and persistence.........

FRIENDSsssssssss.............

As we walk our path of life,We meet people everyday. Most are simply met by chance. But, some are sent our way.
These become special friendsWhose bond we can't explain; The ones who understand usAnd share our joy and pain.Their love contains no boundaries. So, even we are apart.Their presence enhances usWith a warmth felt in the heart. This love becomes a passageway,When even the miles disappear. And so, these friends, God sends our way,Remain forever near.

Friends poems

Friends Poems so cute !
Friends Forever
Friends are friends forever together 'till the end.
You promised me that you would always be my friend.
One day something changed I'm not sure what it was.
I lost you on that day and the reason was because
it was a late dark night and we had a stupid fight.
And for some reason, I don't know why, we couldn't make it right.
We went our separate ways.
This went on for days and days.
I made new friends and you made yours,
but that hole in my heart could not be filled for that hole was only yours.
Times got really tough,
my road of life was, oh, so rough.
I needed friends, not the kind you see from day to day,
but the kind that will always and forever stay.............

A Lesson in Life

Everything happens for a reason. Nothing happens by chance or by means of good or bad luck. Illness, injury, love, lost moments of true greatness and sheer stupidity all occur to test the limits of your soul. Without these small tests, if they be events, illnesses or relationships, life would be like a smoothly paved, straight, flat road to nowhere.
If someone hurts you, betrays you , or breaks you heart, forgive them. For they have helped you learn about trust and the importance of being cautious to who you open your heart to.
If someone loves you, love them back unconditionally, not only because they love you, but because they are teaching you to love and opening your heart and eyes to things you would have never seen or felt without them.
Make every day count. Appreciate every moment and take from it everything that you possibly can, for you may never be able to experience it again.
Talk to people you have never talked to before, and actually listen. Hold your head up because you have every right to. Tell yourself you are a great individual and believe in yourself, for if you don't believe in yourself, no one else will believe in you either.
You can make of your life anything you wish. Create your own life and then go out and live it...............

Be thankful

Be thankful that you don't already have everything you desire. If you did, what would there be to look forward to?
Be thankful when you don't know something, for it gives you the opportunity to learn.
Be thankful for the difficult times. During those times you grow.
Be thankful for your limitations, because they give you opportunities for improvement.
Be thankful for your mistakes. They will teach you valuable lessons.
Be thankful when you're tired and weary, because it means you've made a difference.
It's easy to be thankful for the good things.
A life of rich fulfillment comes to those who are also thankful for the setbacks.
Find a way to be thankful for your troubles, and they can become your blessings.

Allow Your Own Inner Light to Guide You

There comes a time when you must stand alone. You must feel confident enough within yourself to follow your own dreams. You must be willing to make sacrifices. You must be capable of changing and rearranging your priorities so that your final goal can be achieved.Sometimes, familiarity and comfort need to be challenged. There are times when you must take a few extra chances and create your own realities.Be strong enough to at least try to make your life better.Be confident enough that you won't settle for a compromise just to get by.Appreciate yourself by allowing yourself the opportunities to grow, develop, and find your true sense of purpose in this life.Don't stand in someone else's shadow when it's your sunlight that should lead the way.

GOD LOVES TO US

God LOVES you and offers a wonderful PLAN for your life.

How to get back ex boyfriend........

A girl was very sad to learn that her boyfriend left her because she has no time for him. Boyfriend left her with no good reason. She asked herself how she can get her boyfriend back.I guess true love is not true and very few people find true love in their life time. Boyfriend and girlfriend left us without good reasons, we sometimes ask who are we meant to be, who is the right one for us, who is our destiny, and where is fate going to lead us. Many times we want to marry the girl that we really love, but sometimes we went to leave the girl. Ex-boyfriend and Ex-girlfriend are trying to bring back what they used to have, but did not really care when their love ones was still there with them. Finding true love is really very hard now a days. .....

I am from an upper middleclass family. My father is Police Officer and my mum is a house wife. At that time I am doing graduation in science first year. I saw my love Sunita first time in my institute on 1st November 2002 at6 pm. Lekin mein yei nanhi janta tha ke woh meri jindegi ka ek hisa ban jayegi and I can’t live without her. Now I am totally mad about her. Kynuki mein tab ladkiyon se baat kiya nanhi karta tha ‘coz I think every girls are one type i.e. bewaafa. Experience

He who experiences the unity of life sees his own Self in all beings, and all beings in his own Self, and looks on everything with an impartial eye.

European Age of Enlightenment

During the Enlightenment period, new theories about what the human was and is and about the definition of reality and the way it was perceived, along with the discovery of other societies in the Americas, and the changing needs of political societies (especially in the wake of the English Civil War, the American Revolution and the French Revolution) led to new questions and insights by such thinkers as Jean-Jacques Rousseau, Montesquieu and John Locke.
These theorists were driven by two basic questions: one, by what right or need do people form states; and two, what the best form for a state could be. These fundamental questions involved a conceptual distinction between the concepts of "state" and "government." It was decided that "state" would refer to a set of enduring institutions through which power would be distributed and its use justified. The term "government" would refer to a specific group of people who occupied the institutions of the state, and create the laws and ordinances by which the people, themselves included, would be bound. This conceptual distinction continues to operate in
political science, although some political scientists, philosophers, historians and cultural anthropologists have argued that most political action in any given society occurs outside of its state, and that there are societies that are not organized into states which nevertheless must be considered in political terms. As long as the concept of natural order was not introduced, the social sciences could not evolve independently of theistic thinking. Since the cultural revolution of the 17th century in England, which spread to France and the rest of Europe, society has been considered subject to natural laws akin to the physical world....

Christian philosophy of Augustine of Hippo

The early Christian philosophy of Augustine of Hippo was by and large a rewrite of Plato in a Christian context. The main change that Christian thought brought was to moderate the Stoicism and theory of justice of the Roman world, and emphasize the role of the state in applying mercy as a moral example. Augustine also preached that one was not a member of his or her city, but was either a citizen of the City of God (Civitas Dei) or the City of Man (Civitas Terrena). Augustine's City of God is an influential work of this period that refuted the thesis, after the First Sack of Rome, that the Christian view could be realized on Earth at all - a view many Christian Romans held........

Relationships....

"Relationships are the glue that holds a church together. Friendships are the key to retaining members. A friend once told me of a survey he took in a church. When he asked, 'Why did you join this church?' - 93% of the members said, 'I joined because of the pastor.' He then asked, 'What if the pastor leaves? Will you leave?' 93% said 'No.' When he asked why they wouldn’t leave, the response was 'Because I have friends here!' Do you notice the shift in allegiance? This is normal and healthy....

EMOTIONAL LOVE STORY

EMOTIONAL LOVE STORY OF A FLUTE PLAYER
------------------------------------------------------------------
It was a humid and sultry morning, typical of Mumbai weather in the month of May. Sakshi was cleaning the living room of her parents' one-bedroom flat. Suddenly, she started to hear the melodious sound of a high-pitch flute that was coming from the balcony of the building right opposite hers. She knew who was playing it. She also knew that it had to be the same sad song that the flute player had been playing all the time. The song was “Javoon Kahan Bata Ai Dil” sung by Mukesh from the old film Chhoti Bahen -- it was one of the popular songs of the great music duo Shankar-Jaikishen. But after a few minutes, the flute player changed the tune, and Sakshi could clearly hear a classical tune being played. Sakshi stretched her years to grasp the sound. Yes, Sakshi recognized the raga. It was raga Jogiya -- the one that puts the listener into a very sad mood.
Sakshi could not believe that her college mate, Akshay, the flute player living across her building, could now play classical music on his flute. Sakshi liked Akshay as he was very innocent and an honest person with a cherubic face. He was her classmate in her science college, studying B.Sc. They both shared a good relationship and helped each other with their college homework. But Akshay always looked very morose. He always thought that no girl ever looked at him romantically. This thought always bothered him. He always desired to get romantically involved with some girl, especially when he saw around him so many young people having romantic affairs. He wanted to be loved romantically by the opposite sex and then offer his love in return. He was a very emotional person too. He would not have been a musician if he were not emotional. He always preferred to play on his flute sad film songs from old Hindi films. Sometimes the intensity of his flute notes could make the listeners cry with tears rolling down their eyes.
Especially with Akshay, Sakshi had a platonic relationship. She always tried to help him out psychologically whenever he was low. She always tried to lift his spirits up. But she never looked at him romantically. As the classical sound became more intense with the highflying notes of raga Jogiya, Sakshi could not wait. She left the cleaning job right away and started running towards the opposite building to see Akshay. She was highly astonished to see that Akshay, who until yesterday could only play simple film songs, could now play classical music on his small flute. This was a big surprise for her. She could not wait until she talked to Akshay. She reached Akshay's building and then started to climb the stairway of the building hurriedly as if there was some kind of emergency. People stepping down the stairway from the opposite side seemed to be annoyed at her. Finally, she reached the third floor. She almost started running in order to reach Akshay's flat. Sakshi pressed the doorbell and Akshay opened the door.
Sakshi asked, “Hey, Akshay. When did you learn to play classical music? I cannot believe this.”
“Oh, well. What do you mean? You think I can play only film songs on my flute?” Akshay quipped.
“Oh no! I know you are a great flute player since you play that sad song by Mukesh, Javoon Kahan all the time,” Sakshi replied jokingly.
“Well, people always looked down upon me, since I was only playing film songs and I did not know classical music, so I decided to learn classical music from a flute master about three years ago. I did not play classical music on the flute in public until I had gained enough confidence. But even after learning classical music, I still like to play old Hindi film songs. This gives me a great psychological satisfaction,” Akshay said.

“Oh! You kept it a secret all along that you were learning classical music,” Sakshi said.

“Yes. I had to keep it a secret until I mastered classical music on my flute. But still I do not understand why the classical music buffs look down upon old Hindi film songs, many of which are based on classical ragas. After all, many of these classical music-based Hindi songs inspire and motivate millions of listeners all over the world. I have a tremendous respect for those old Hindi film music directors who composed so many songs based on classical music,” Akshay replied.
“Akshay, you already know the answer. Classical music is very intricate, and it is for the elite classes and pop music is for the masses and this scenario will never change. Let us leave aside this topic of classes and masses for a moment. Now that you know classical music, can you tell me on which raga your favorite song is based? I mean “Javoon kahan bata ai dil.” Sakshi wanted to test the waters.

“Oh, that song is based on raga Jhinjhoti. Do you remember that other song “Ja ja re ja balam va” from old film Basant Bahar and that Kishore Kumar number “Koyi ham dam na raha” from the film Jhumroo and also “Mose chal kiye ja” from the film Guide? All these songs have the same Bandishi or set of dominating notes derived from raga Jhinjhoti. Raga Jhinjhoti is derived from Khamaj thata and its jati is sampoorna-sampoorna meaning there are 7 notes each in aroha and avaroha. In raga Jhinjhoti, the aroha uses all 7 shudh swaras, which are Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Dha Ni, and in avaroha it uses the same set of 7 swaras in reverse except that it uses komal Ni. So avaroha notes are Sa Ni (komal) Dha Pa Ma Ga Re.

The vaadi (main note) is Gandhar and samvaadi (second important note) is Nishad, but some musicians use Dhaivat as samvaadi. This raga is usually played in the second prahar of the night,” Akshay explained.

“Hats off to you, Akshay. You are a pro in classical music now. I can now say that you have mastered classical music. Next time when I want to find out the raga for some other song, I will have to come back to you,” Sakshi said while encouraging him.

“But all this flute playing is not going to help me, Sakshi. Please tell me when I am going to find my Love. After I started playing the flute well, I thought someone would get attracted towards me. But nothing of this sort has happened so far. I had read the stories in Mahabharata about how Gopikas used to surround Lord Krishna, whenever he started playing his flute. Why is this not happening to me?” Akshay asked.

“Only time will tell. But right now I can say that you do not play the flute as well as Lord Krishna, and this could be the reason why nobody is attracted to you. But I am sure someday you will find your love and then you will not have time to talk to me,” Sakshi said.

“I do not think so, Sakshi. Now I feel that I might never find that Love which I am longing for. My only hope is you. Please tell me when will be that day when our platonic relationship will change to a romantic relationship?” Akshay said naively with a sad undertone.
“Oh, come on! I cannot answer you on this one. You know the famous Urdu poet Mirza Ghalib's famous sher (poem) “Ishq par jor nahin” meaning love cannot be forced upon, which also implies that it has to happen automatically after something from inside dictates you to do it, but I do not know what that something is, Akshay. I do not think I can answer your question,” Sakshi replied.
The colleges reopened again in June after the summer vacations. A new student, Preeti had joined Sakshi's college. Preeti's last name was close to those of Sakshi and Akshay. Preeti had been transferred to Sakshi's college from another suburban college of Mumbai. Since all the three last names came one after another, they used to be together for their science practicals. Preeti soon became a friend to both Sakshi and Akshay. Preeti was very beautiful, and she had a very charming personality. Soon she became a close friend of Sakshi although she maintained a distance from Akshay. They all were in a crucial final year of the B.Sc. Degree.

Preeti was very smart at her studies, and she was helpful to both Sakshi and Akshay and helped both of them whenever they had problems understanding some science concepts.

Once, there was a concert in the college where Akshay played a few classical ragas on his flute. Until then, Preeti didn't know that Akshay was a great flute player. She attended the flute concert along with Sakshi. Akshay performed extremely well at the concert. Preeti was a classical buff and enjoyed the concert very much. Later on, Sakshi came to know that Preeti had started to attend every concert of Akshay. Sakshi could see the changes in Preeti's attitude towards Akshay. Sometimes she used to go out of the way and wait for Akshay until he finished his laboratory work in college.
Sakshi soon had a sneaky suspicion that maybe Preeti was falling in love with Akshay. By now, Sakshi knew Preeti very well. Preeti was very close to her. Preeti was very ambitious and aggressive, whereas Akshay was very timid in nature and lacked assertiveness. Sakshi knew very well that in the long run, say if both of them got married, it may not work out. Because her gut feeling was that Akshay being very innocent and honest would not be able to succeed in whatever career he chose, Sakshi could see the incompatibility between Preeti and Akshay. But on the other hand, Sakshi was very happy that now after a long wait, Akshay had found his love that he had been looking for a long time. So Sakshi had contradictory thoughts running through her mind.
One day, Sakshi found Akshay in a very good mood, which was something that she had never seen before. At that point it appeared that Akshay could not wait to tell Sakshi some big news.

“What's the matter, Akshay? You are in a very good mood today,” Sakshi said.

“I have a feeling that Preeti likes me very much. I will not be surprised if in the near future she discloses her love for me,” Akshay replied.

“I hope so, Akshay. I think that you are finally close to finding your love,” Sakshi said.

Sakshi was now wondering why Preeti had never told her about it as she was very close to her. Sakshi became very impatient and could not wait until she saw Preeti the next day in their college.
“Preeti, will you mind if I ask a very personal question?” Sakshi asked.
“Go ahead, Sakshi. You are like my sister now, you can ask me any personal question,” Preeti replied.
“I see lots of changes in your attitude towards Akshay. Please tell me if you are in love with him," Sakshi asked.
“Oh Gosh! Sakshi, why do you say that?” Preeti replied.
“Because Akshay thinks that you are in love with him. Akshay expressed his feelings about you to me yesterday. You have been attending Akshay's every flute concert. You go out of the way to help him out at every step. So I thought something unusual was happening here between you two, and if it is true I am glad about that,” Sakshi said.

“Oh no! Do you really want to know why I am getting close to him?” Preeti asked.

“Yes,” Sakshi replied.

“I did not tell you until now about a tragedy in my family. About one year ago, my only brother, Ramesh, who was elder to me by 2 years, died in a car accident. Akshay has lots of similarities with Ramesh. Ramesh was also a classical flute player; and what surprised me further was that Akshay played the flute in the same style as my brother Ramesh did and played almost the same ragas as well. I loved my brother Ramesh a lot like any other sister would do. Akshay is very innocent, just like my brother Ramesh was. I see lots of similarities between Akshay and my deceased brother, Ramesh. So I feel that I've found my lost brother, Ramesh. I see Ramesh in Akshay all the time. Actually, I myself should have told this to Akshay and you much earlier. But since this was a very touchy issue for me, I waited for a while. I am actually in love with a bank officer, Rohan who lives in Pune with whom I am going to get married within the next few months, right after my B.Sc. graduation,” Preeti said.

“This is a terrible situation now, because Akshay has misunderstood your responses. What will happen now? I think it is a good idea to disclose this to Akshay as soon as possible. I have to go and tell Akshay about this fact, before it is too late,” Sakshi said.
“Yes. You should do that. I will highly appreciate that. Also tell him I apologise for not telling him about this fact earlier,” Preeti said.

Sakshi could not wait until she told this fact to Akshay. She waited for two days. Then one day when Akshay was sitting alone in the college cafeteria, Sakshi went and sat next to him.

“Akshay, I want to inform you about an important thing about Preeti,” Sakshi said.

“What is it? What is it?” Akshay almost jumped from his chair as he was overjoyed and thought that finally he was going to hear from Sakshi the confirmation that Preeti loved him.

“I hope you will not mind if I tell you the facts right now. Please listen to me carefully,” Sakshi said.
Then Sakshi told Akshay all the facts and told him that it was really a sisterly love that Preeti was displaying towards him. Sakshi also told him that Preeti was already engaged and was going to get married in Pune in a few months time with Rohan, a bank officer, soon after her B.Sc. graduation. Akshay started to weep. Sakshi also could not control herself. Both Akshay and Sakshi cried for a long time. Both of them could not control their sorrow. Everybody in the cafeteria was watching them in order to know what was happening. After some time, Akshay calmed down and once again looked sad just like he used to before Preeti came into his life.
Akshay got up from the chair and said, “Sakshi, go and tell Preeti that next year on Raksha Bandhan day, I will visit her house in Pune, and she will tie Rakhi around my wrist on that day. Tell her that this is a promise from a loving brother. I am sure that she will be happy to find her lost brother on the next Raksha Bandhan day; but please tell her to give me Rohan's address in Pune before she leaves Mumbai.”
Sakshi felt very sad but relieved. She knew that Akshay was completely disillusioned and would never find the love that he was looking for. As promised, Sakshi came back to Preeti and told her about the whole incident with Akshay, and told her about Akshay's promise that he would visit her in Pune on the next Raksha Bandhan day and that she would tie the Rakhi around his wrist. Preeti was very saddened for a while but later recovered after noting Akshay's promise. And just before she left Mumbai for her marriage with Rohan in Pune, she did give Rohan's address to Sakshi, which Sakshi passed on to Akshay.
After a few months, Preeti got married in Pune. Sakshi attended the marriage, although Akshay was invited, he did not attend the marriage, since for the past couple of weeks he seemed out of his mind. Sakshi returned to Mumbai soon after Preeti's marriage. Another two months passed.
One day, late in the night, around 11 p.m., Sakshi's phone started ringing. Sakshi picked up the phone and said, “Hi, Sakshi here.”
“Hi! This is Preeti from Pune,” Preeti said from the other end.
“How are you, Preeti? I just returned back only an hour ago from my native place after a two-week stay. I went alone… ” Sakshi said.
Before Sakshi could finish her conversation, Preeti interrupted.
“Sakshi, I cannot believe this. I cannot believe this at all. You know today is Raksha Bandhan day and Akshay fulfilled his promise. If you may recall, only last year Akshay had promised me that he would come to my house on the next Raksha Bandhan day so that I could tie the Rakhi around his wrist. He fulfilled his promise; Akshay paid a surprise visit to my house today, and I was very happy to tie the Rakhi around his wrist. Akshay gave me a golden necklace as a gift from a brother. And after Raksha Bandhan, Akshay left my house in a very happy mood. I requested him to have coffee etc. but he did not wait, and he seemed to be in a hurry to get back. I felt so good; I cannot describe my feelings. I feel completely satisfied,” Preeti replied.
After hearing this from Preeti, Sakshi jumped out from her bed with the receiver still in her left hand while still continued talking to Preeti.
“Preeti, what are you saying? Did this event really happen? The reason I'm asking this is because after I returned back from my native place tonight, I came to know from my parents about a very tragic event. Only a week ago, in order to find solace for himself, Akshay went to the hill station of Mahabaleshwar for roaming around the hills while playing his flute. One day after he reached Mahabaleshwar, his dead body was found by the police in the valley down below. Akshay died under mysterious circumstances. Then from the medical examiners report and eyewitness accounts from the hitchhikers, the police made a report about the probable cause of Akshay's death. From this report, it was clear that Akshay had been playing his flute on a cliff of the mountain and after a little while may have lost his balance and fallen deep down into the valley, or he may have committed suicide by jumping down the valley from the cliff. Police could not determine the exact cause or whether it was accident or suicide,” Sakshi said.
This news came as a big shock to Preeti. She could barely hold the receiver. She started crying in disbelief, which Sakshi could clearly hear.

“Sakshi, then who was the person to whom I tied the Rakhi today?” Preeti asked.

“Preeti, it could be Akshay's soul. Normally, I do not believe in souls, ghosts and supernatural things etc. But it is quite possible. Akshay's soul might have come to your house in human form. May be it was his ghost. Do you remember the promise that Akshay made to you last year that he would come to your house on the next Raksha Bandhan day and you would tie the Rakhi around his wrist? He fulfilled that promise today. Oh! I cannot believe this at all, I do not know what I am saying. I am confused, Preeti. The event you described may not be real after all, and this could probably be your hallucination. How is it possible that Akshay, who died one week ago, could personally come to your house today for Raksha Bandhan? Preeti, do you want to know something more? It seemed that Akshay already had a premonition about his death. After the police found Akshay's body, they also found a note in his pant pockets written by Akshay which stated that in the event of his death, all his beloved flutes be cremated along with his body. And Akshay's last wish was fulfilled by his father,” Sakshi started sobbing.

“No! No! It was a real event. Sakshi, please do not say that it was my hallucination. Please! Please! I really tied Rakhi around his wrist today,” Preeti said desperately.

It appeared to Sakshi that Preeti was only focusing on the statement about hallucination made by Sakshi.
Sakshi could not control her emotions, and before Preeti could finish her conversation from the other end, Sakshi put down the phone abruptly. The phone started to ring again. Sakshi knew that this call must be from Preeti again. At least for this moment, Sakshi was in no mood to pick up the receiver as she started thinking about the incident described by Preeti. Somehow, Sakshi was sure that the Raksha Bandhan event described by Preeti was definitely her hallucination, because Preeti saw her deceased brother Ramesh in Akshay.
So her emotions must have become intense on Rakhsa Bandhan day. Sakshi was just trying to reason herself. Otherwise, how else could one explain it? Slowly, the song “Javoon kahan bata ai dil”, which was Akshay's favorite sad song, started to play in the ears of Sakshi. The ringing of this song inside her ears overpowered the ringing sound of the phone. Sakshi started to think about the sad incidents. This duniya (world) was really sangdil (cruel) to Akshay who never found the kind of love that he longed for. This duniya also included Sakshi. Sakshi began to think. “Why couldn't Akshay find his love? Was it due to the circumstances? Or was it due to Akshay's naïve character?” Sakshi could not figure this out. Now that Akshay was gone, Sakshi started to talk to herself in agony, “Maybe I could have helped him out of the situation. But how? I respected Akshay for all his virtues, but could never look at him from a romantic angle.”
